This will be an in-person workshop, run by Hope for the Future, in partnership with Nature Neighbourhoods, for local organisations and groups keen to engage with their politicians and have effective conversations with their politicians/councillors on climate and nature issues.
Even if you are just considering your first raised bed or growing space or are interested in doing more nature based activities this workshop will be helpful for your to have conversations with your local council and other elected politicians.
It will run from 10.00am - 2.00pm, with time for for lunch and networking. There will also be an optional tour round MUD's community garden at the end.
In the workshop Hope for the Future will cover their relationship-building approach, looking at how we can build positive, collaborative relationships with our politicians.
We’ll then move onto looking more at the specific political landscape in Manchester and Leeds and how participants can engage effectively with their councillors in particular.
Hope for the Future aim to give people everything they need to feel confident and excited about building effective working relationships with their local politicians.
Hope for the Future is a Sheffield-based democratic engagement charity that works with individuals and communities across the UK to help people have effective conversations with their politicians on climate and nature issues.
