‍
“Preparing to meet your politician on climate and nature issues” will focus on how to have effective meetings with your politicians that lead to tangible outcomes. Meeting with a politician can sometimes seem like a daunting prospect, however this doesn’t need to be the case! This session will give you the confidence and skills needed to have positive meetings with your politicians. We’ll look initially at how you can prepare for meeting your politician and then we’ll cover some common hurdles to having positive meetings. In particular, we will examine how to avoid triggering defensive reactions from politicians and how to get things on track if you do. This session is for anyone keen to have better meetings with politicians, whether you’ve met with your politician before or thinking about engaging for the first time.
‍
PLEASE NOTE - This is an interactive session with opportunities to contribute ideas and ask questions. We recommend that participants join on a computer or laptop to get the best possible experience.Â
‍
