Your Voice Heard: Engaging with Croydon’s MPs on the Climate and Nature Crises

Are you looking to have your voice heard and engage positively with your local MP?

Is one of your New Year’s Resolutions to help tackle the climate and nature crisis?

Join us for this special workshop from Hope for the Future, in collaboration with Croydon Climate Action, covering the basics of their tested approach to having productive conversations with MPs on climate and nature issues. 

The session will cover: 

  • The relationship-based approach to democratic engagement: how to break out of the antagonistic approach to politics and build a collaborative relationship with your MP 
  • How to find common ground and use co-benefits to increase your chance of success 
  • Engaging with Croydon’s MPs: hear from Hope for the Future – as well as other campaigner’s with direct experience – about how best to engage with Croydon’s four MPs 
  • Developing SMART asks to ensure a tangible result for your efforts 
  • Top tips for writing to and meeting with politicians 

In addition, the session will highlight the ongoing tailored support Hope for the Future can offer for anyone interested in democratic engagement for the environment.
